The term “user” or “respondent” in these Privacy Rules refers to all persons to whom the laboratory’s health services are provided or have been provided, laboratory clients, as well as all other persons who have given their consent to receive laboratory information for themselves or for children under the age of 16 as guardians.
The laboratory collects the minimum amount of personal data possible and uses it exclusively for the purpose for which it was collected and of which you have been informed. Similarly, the laboratory does not share data with third parties without informing you about this. The laboratory always strives to process and store your data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or as required by a contract or applicable law.

1. Data we collect

The laboratory collects various types of data in order to provide quality services, namely (a) data collected from you directly through forms on the laboratory premises, via forms on the website www.dentique-lab.com, via email, social networks or by telephone, (b) data collected about your use of the laboratory’s services and (c) data collected from third parties.

The laboratory collects the following categories of data from you:

identification data (names and surnames, gender, fingerprint or biometric scan data of the jaw, picture)

  • health data and information (medical findings of the dental system, medical history

The laboratory also processes your data and/or your child’s data, if the child is under 16 or 18 years of age, depending on the purpose of the processing, and you are the holder of parental responsibility.

Some of our services available via the Internet allow you to contact the laboratory directly to ask questions and book appointments. In connection with these services, we may ask you for certain information about yourself so that you can use such services and so that the laboratory can act on your request. In such a situation, your personal information is necessary because without it the laboratory cannot act on your request and you will therefore be shown a form confirming that you are familiar with the privacy policy, which form must be checked. For example, in such a situation you may be asked for your e-mail address, first name, last name, mobile phone number, etc. Some services allow you to communicate with other people. 2. Why do we collect data and who is the data for? available

Your data is collected and processed for the following purposes:

  • to provide services and fulfill your requests;
  • in order to provide you with content and recommendations based on your activities on the website;

  • for the purpose of improving our business and developing the services provided to you;

In the event of data transfer, we will take all measures to protect it and, if possible, necessary and reasonable, we will pseudonymize it or otherwise make it more difficult to associate it with you, and in exceptional situations we will try to completely anonymize your data in a situation where we assess that there is a risk to the preservation of your rights.
If required by law or a decision of an administrative or judicial body, data may be disclosed to competent authorities and other parties:

In such a case, the laboratory takes appropriate protective measures (e.g. the use of EU standard contractual clauses for the transfer of personal data to third countries) to ensure adequate protection of your personal data in accordance with the applicable rules on personal data protection.
For transfers that go beyond the legitimate interests of the laboratory and which by their nature do not fall under regular transfers and which are not necessary to ensure the security and high level of service provision of the laboratory, your consent will be requested.

The Laboratory uses and regularly improves its system for collecting and processing personal data, all to ensure its compliance with legal regulations and, of course, your security. In doing so, reasonable physical and technical data protection measures are used and efforts are made to follow technical achievements and guidelines of the authorities responsible for personal data, both at the Croatian and EU levels.
However, the laboratory must emphasize that due to the rapid development of technology, every user of the Internet system must be aware that no system is absolutely secure and that it is objectively impossible to predict in advance all the risks that may arise on the Internet. In particular, the laboratory cannot influence the shortcomings of services provided by third parties that are necessary for the existence of
this website. Unauthorized attacks on this website are always possible, and the laboratory makes reasonable efforts to minimize any risks that may arise.
In any case, the laboratory will persist in its efforts to make its personal data protection system as secure as possible.
Statement on the protection and collection of personal data and their use The Laboratory undertakes to provide protection to customers’ personal data, by collecting only necessary, basic data about customers/users that are necessary to fulfill our obligations; informs customers about the use of collected data, regularly gives customers the opportunity to choose how to use it
their data, including the ability to decide whether or not to have their name removed from lists used for marketing campaigns. All user data is strictly protected and is only accessible to employees who need the data to perform their jobs. All employees and business partners are responsible for respecting the principles of privacy protection.
In order to protect the personal data of the subjects, the laboratory takes appropriate protection measures that are in accordance with applicable regulations on the protection of privacy and personal data.
This includes requiring laboratory service providers to implement appropriate measures to protect the confidentiality and security of personal data of subjects. In its operations, the laboratory has implemented technical, physical and organizational measures to protect personal data of subjects against accidental or unlawful destruction, accidental loss, damage, alteration, unauthorized disclosure or access, and all other forms of unlawful and/or excessive processing.

3. Other

If, despite the content of this privacy and personal data protection statement, certain things are still unclear to you, or if you believe that certain details have not been sufficiently explained to you, please feel free to contact our Data Protection Officer with your reasonable inquiries. He or she will, in accordance with objective possibilities, endeavor to answer all reasonable inquiries and, in cooperation with our technical services, always endeavor to provide you with all reasonably available information in order to ensure that you are informed.
According to applicable laws, we are obliged to inform you that you have the right to lodge an objection to the processing of your personal data, both to the laboratory and to the Personal Data Protection Agency. At your request, the laboratory will provide you with information on how personal data is processed. If personal data is inaccurate, it will be corrected at your request. In that case, as in other cases provided for by applicable regulations, you may request the restriction of processing. You also have the right to request the transfer of your data to another controller. Our personal data processing officer will examine all your inquiries and, if possible, try to respond to them within 30 days, provided that your request is legally justified. The dynamics of the response depends on the nature of your inquiry and generally on the quantity and nature of other possible inquiries. In the case of unreasonable, excessively detailed, frequently repeated and otherwise unreasonably difficult inquiries, the laboratory reserves the right to charge you a reasonable fee for responding to your inquiry. In the most exceptional situations, the laboratory will refuse to respond to your inquiry.
